Teaching Experience
Sep 2021 - Present: Associate Lecturer The Open University ·
Currently in associate lecturer for the undergraduate module T366 (Nanoscale Engineering) at The Open University (UK). The module has 250 registered students. This Module is designed to for the students to gain industry-relevant knowledge
of nanoscale engineering, including manufacture of nanoscale structures and devices; functionality of thin film coatings; energy harvesting and storage; biosensors; and nanotechnology use in medical diagnoses and treatments.
Previously, I was contracted to assist with restructuring of the module T356 (Engineering small worlds: micro and nano technologies). Tasks that I carried out to update T356 were: 1) Reviewing the set of Scientific American articles provided in the Introductory Study Block, 2) Identifying new areas of micro and nanotechnology that should be represented in the Introductory Study Block. 3) Literature search to identify articles, such that there is a sufficient coverage of the micro-nano landscape. 4) Editing the Module Guide text. 5) Rewriting TMA01 to reflect the new content. Other teaching experience includes Group Tutor for residential school (T276b, summer 2021).
